When I was seventeen it was a very good year
It was a very good year for small town girls and soft summer nights

      1. My truck had two blow outs, but I only have one spare, so I had to get a tire on one rim, and change the other blow out before I could drive the Truck over to get the rest of the tires mounted. The truck was loaded with construction debris and an old toilet from remodeling my daughter’s house, plus a couple of old engine blocks that she was getting ready to haul off to the dump when the tires went kaput, β€” I looked like a real redneck with a beat-up old Ford pickup full of junk when I drove in for the other three tires. On top of all that, my old truck has a standard transmission, which throws the younger techs for a loop, as they don’t know how to drive standards these days.

      2. Ha — that would have been quite the sight for them to see. πŸ™‚ It’s funny (sad?) how so many people today don’t know how to drive a manual/stick-shift/standard transmission. I confess that I drive an auto, but really enjoy getting behind the wheel of a manual vehicle when I can. It’s how I standard driving and all of my early cars were manual transmission cars.
